There are so many things to think about when planning your wedding day, however getting your brows wedding ready is often something brides leave to the last minute. However if you start your brow prep early you can have wow brows for your big day and all the days after!
Brow guru Hannah Mutze from Benefit shares how to get your brows wedding perfect!
The brow countdown
Partner up with a Benefit brow expert and start your wedding brow journey early! Great brows can take time. Starting early allows time for any additional growth your brows may need & time to experiment with the perfect your brow shape, style and colour for the big day. Maintain monthly appointments during the months leading up to your wedding to stay on track. Show your expert photos of brows you love! Whilst impossible to recreate, your brow expert will have a thorough understanding of your dream result.
2 weeks out
Avoid any tweezing of your brows between now and your final brow appt. Tweezing in between professional shaping appointments, results in an uneven growth cycle and constant regrowth, so #nothot
7 days out
Book in your final brow appointment about a week out from the big day and be sure to tell your brow expert if you’ve had any facial treatments/peels etc. in the days before as this can affect your skins response to waxing. Save your fake tan for a couple of days after your brow wax and tint as tanning also can be affected by waxing and tinting.
On the day
Use water-resistant or water-proof proof brow products like Benefit’s Ka-Brow or Precisely My Brow Pencil. Your brows will stay put for the whole day and won’t smudge or budge through an endless night of hugging and dancing. Be sure to set and finish your brows with a strong hold brow gel – it’s the perfect way to finish and polish your look!
Ensure your brows look natural in photos by using a fibre gel on top! Gimme Brow + uses tiny micro fibres to build volume in your brows – adding dimension and making your brows look fuller!
Pre - wedding nerves, summer weddings and all that lovin’ calls for long wearing brow products! Make sure your makeup artist or yourself if a DIY bride, use water-resistant or waterproof formulas on brows so they last the day!
Editor's pick for easy peasy brows on your honeymoon!
