The wedding of Sarah and Luke was what fairy tales are made of. With an elegant church ceremony, and whimsical reception that featured a merry-go-round carousel and candy kart the English wedding of Sarah and Luke was a true standout.

Tell us about how you met...

We met at work. Luke interviewed me and of course I got the job! 

 

What was the vibe or theme of your wedding? 

We didn't have a theme. A romantic glamorous and vintage wedding just sort of happened!

 

How did you find your location and why did you choose it?

St Mildreds and Preston Court in Preston was featured in a bridal magazine and flagged by the maid of honour. We chose it because of the beautiful and vintage feel with the on site church.

 

How easy or hard was it to plan your wedding?

It was hard! We conceived a baby boy two months after the proposal.

 

Where did the majority of your guests stay?

Most of our guests stayed at local BnBs or simply took a taxi home.

 

Describe the reception space...

We had a string quartet during drinks. Our menu included ham hock and rabbit terrine, free range chicken risotto, plus pecan pie and lemon tart. We had pom poms, a candy kart and lots of natural flowers and fairy lights.

 

Did you have anything special planned for your guests?

We had guest gifts given at our wedding which included a glass of port and lots of sweets!

 

What advice would you give a couple planning a destination wedding in this location?

Organise accomodation and transport well in advance!

 

What was your favourite part of your wedding day?

I loved riding the very vintage, very beautiful carousel and walking down the aisle with my dad.

 

Is there anything you would have done differently?
